The Board of Governors is the highest authority in the School’s organisation. Its 10 members are prominent and distinguished in their status, background and experience.

The main functions of the Board of Governors include the overseeing of the School’s progress and drawing up strategy plans.
It meets three or four times a year while leaving the operational work to the four subcommittees that it has established.


 
Dr Said El Turk, Chairman
The founder of the school, Dr Said has had a distinguished record in education for nearly 40 years.




 
   
Mr Zeid El Turk, Vice-Chairman
Mr Zeid has been involved with the New English School for many years. He is focusing on the development of the NES Club
and other sporting initiatives in the school and the wider Jordanian sporting community.


 
Ms Suad El Turk, Senior Executive Officer
Ms Suad is particularly involved with the holistic development of students at the New English School.

 
 
Ms Nesreen Hantouli, Parent Representative
Ms Nesreen is a respected Mathematics teacher at the new English School and is also a parent.

 
Ms Zeina Shannak, Staff Representative
Ms Zeina is the Head of PR at the school and oversees the ‘Skills for Life’ programme.

 
Dr. Khaled Toukan
The current Chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission also serves as a standing advisory group member for Nuclear Energy to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency. He has previously held the positions of Minister of Energy, Minister of Education, and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
  Dr. Tayseer Al Noaimi
Former Minister of Education in Jordan and member of the Senate, held key positions such as Secretary General for the MOE and Vice President of NCHRD. With extensive international experience, he has consulted for organizations like the European Training Foundation, UNCEF, UNESCO, and UNDP
